About 7 months ago in October 2015, I changed my username. Knowing that I had a chance to get kicked off my island, I added my friend to my island and made her owner so that she would be able to add me back. When I came back to the Skyblock server, we both lost all permissions for Skyblock expect for basic commands. Back when this problem first occurred, I made a thread and emailed support and I repeatedly got ignored. I eventually took a break from this server and when I came back, there was still no response to my issue and my thread was locked. When I type the command: /island - /island restart- /island party- / island leave- I also cannot accept island requests. My in-game username is Shxlby_ and my friend's in-game username is Teeeb. I really hope that we can soon get this issue fixed. I understand that the owners of this server are very busy and hardworking people and I am willing to be patient. I was thinking a individual player reset would probably fix the problem although you guys know a lot more than I do. Thank you.
I don't know if this will be of any help, have you tried changing your name back? If that doesn't work, then the island has probably been deleted or neglected because of this bug (can it even be called a bug?). Just keep sending e-mails I guess, or else just restart on Skyblock as a whole...
I did try changing my name back. It didn't work. I can't restart my island, as you can see above none of the commands work!
Oh, so it said that it created a new island but it didn't actually work? Sorry, all you can do is e-mail and wait, I don't know how to help otherwise, it may seem pointless but you might get a reply some day, good luck!
Lol it happened to me once and I hated it. You're island may probably despawn due to an unidentified username. Or if possible, you could request for staff to transfer the island from your previous username to your current. This is just a random thought which I'm not sure actually works. Hope my assumptions/facts managed to provide you some ideas. But staff response would be much more helpful than mine.
