Title says it all. Because some people are scared to report others, because the person who they're reporting has said something like "If you report me, I will kill you" or something like that. "Snitches get stitches". So better to not reveal who is snitching to the WHOLE forum, only keep it to the moderators and the one who is reporting.
Players can create hidden content, only visible to moderators, admins, and Noobcrew. This hidden content prevents people from figuring how who reports who. To be realistic though, most of those threats are empty, meaningless, and made by 13 year old children who googled ''how to hack kali minecraft'' on YouTube. No support.
Support. I think private reports would make more people report. I've had multiple people come to me with evidence, too scared to post it on the forums. The [ hide ] stuff doesn't rlly help either, cuz you can still tell what player reported who. The evidence will obviously have to be provided if they appeal, but I rlly think having a private archive would make more people report. On the other hand, I've always liked having them be public so I can see what moderation is done. It has let me contact staff multiple times explaining why something is or isn't glitch abuse for example. The positives of having private reports outweigh the negatives by far though
No support. I like to see why certain players were banned. Closet cheaters for example with 20+ bans. The hide feature doesn't help, you can still see who reported who. All hidden content does is make it take longer to create a ban appeal as you have to wait a week for a mod to post evidence for you to invalidate.
I recently got ddosed on here because I reported a player, that's the only reason i'm making this. Especially on kitpvp, because that's the most toxic community on Mineverse.
PM the evidence to the moderator. And you shouldn't be getting d dos'd unless you gave someone your IP, or was stupid enough to click an ip logger.
