Okay since maybe like 5PM (11+ GMT) I've been getting kicked for sending too many packets. I don't know why it does this but please fix this. My ingame name is AtomicPanda_ and everytime I either move/type or nothing at all I just get kicked. Please fix this
I Think it might be your router not being able to handle the connection between you and the server, I'd recommend a better router or better internet.
Thankyou I'll try this. I'm going to Melbourne on the weekend so I'll try to buy a new router while I'm at it. That was the first time I experienced this, and it's still happening.
It's only happening on this server and sometimes I can get passed lobbies but I get kicked shortly soon after. I'm currently in Melbourne at my grandpa's house so I can join perfectly fine. At home I can't join probably because our router is old, we've had it for about 4 years I think.
This is most likely occurring due to the server having a packet limiter. I believe Mineverse is a 1.8 server, but supports 1.9 clients. As of recently, there was an issue with users crashing servers by sending an excessive amount of packets while using a specific 1.9 modified client -- which is why the packet limiter would have been implemented. Your client is exceeding the maximum amount of packets the server allows you to send. This could be happening due to you using a large amount of mods, hacked clients, etc.
^^ It could be this, yet most likely below. My server had an error like this, and it kicked a few users who have a weaker connection, and unfortunately, it's nothing that can be fixed, without an owner or developer's work. The protocol hack the server is using, may need to be updated to stop this problem. That's all I did to fix the error on my server. @Noobcrew @CypriotMerks @Matt @Zulfqar Edit: As some users like @8top are saying, and @NoMoreSanity , this could be the case, yet if the error is something like: " internal exception io.netty.handler.codec.decoderexception java.io.ioexception packet was larger than I expected, found 1 bytes extra whilst reading packet 63 " then it is fixed by updating the protocol hack, which cannot be done player/client-side.
I was using 1.9.2 when this happened, and it may be because of all the hacked clients i have which are Wurst, Protocol and Disco Party and please do not use this comment to accuse me of hacking when i have not done it on this server. I have switched from 1.9.2 to 1.8.9 it seems to be working fine now. I Can someone please remove this thread seeing as it is resolved @Nanurz @Jhow
