While the forums have been discussing how to fix Mineverse immediately, this community must also find a way to not drive it into the ground again. This article will not be addressing who runs the server, but rather how to run it. For starters, one of the most crushing things you could feel is when a server resets and you lose all of your builds, items, and wealth. The server needs to simply avoid this, because why would you come back to nothing and rebuild, just to be reset again? This would ward away non-fanatical players (which hopefully make up most of the population), butchering player activity in this server. Instead, the server either needs to reset smart, preventing mistakes that lead to resets; or keep improving the server without complete wipes. If we were to improve a server, without editing the property of the players, it could lead to renewed interest in a server. Adding custom plugins for weapons and armor in survival, kitpvp, and factions might mean more fun in those servers. Loosened restrictions on plot flags in creative and more island modifications on Skyblock would definitely give the player more choice, which leads to more creativity and enjoyment. In addition, the old Creative2 server is currently shut down (for good or not is presently unknown). That server is the same one that had been open nearly since the culmination of Mineverse, and shutting it down leaves the server with two choices, improve the new one or give us the old one back. Creative2, although greatly more uninhabited than its counterpart, still receives visits from long-time members. As stated previously with the anti-reset argument, the server needs to stop closing down these gamemodes. It will only lead to putting more weight on the sinking ship that is Mineverse; especially since it was much more lax with commands than the duplicate. In conclusion, I hope these arguments will help the server back onto its feet.
