I believe that instead of two weeks wait before applying for Moderator, it should be a month. One of the positives of the time being longer is that you get more dedicated players and players that know that they're doing instead of just applying after two weeks, which, in my opinion, is quite a short time. Unlike more posts, you cant skip the time that you've been on forums etc. Although you could still go inactive for a month then come back and apply, it cuts down on the amount of players who have just reported for a few days then applied. I have seen this month rule applied to another large server, and it really helped them reduce the amount of pointless applications and focus on the good applicants who had put effort into applying. It would be good for the applicants that maybe don't have the best chance at that current moment as well, because instead of, after two weeks, being really tempted to apply and applying just to be denied, they have more time to report and think about how they are going to make their application stand out. Applicants that have a great chance would benefit from this new rule as well, because their reports wouldn't be swamped with applications that haven't had the time and effort put into them. I hope you agree with this idea - if you don't, please state your reasons! Thank you for reading.
No support, I think two weeks is plenty of time, anyone who would like to moderate this server and who joins the forums to do so may be discouraged when they find they have to wait one month before they can apply. Anyway, the requirements haven't stopped people from posting applications, it's just now we don't see all of them as they are closed and arhived, so it is arguable that this suggestion would do nothing but drive away potential candidates.
Please can you explain further? Thanks! Yeah, I noticed that. Thanks! Thanks, and possibly. I thought a month was a nice number, so to speak. Yeah, when I commented it ;D Just what I was thinking. Thank you!
