Simple suggestion to help with the fact that a majority of (non-permanent) ban appeals are left stagnant for days or don’t get resolved before the ban expires, rendering the system useless. - If a moderator has not responded to a ban appeal after a while with the evidence, allow other moderators to post the evidence (that should be in a ban log already). - Allow all mods to post opinions directly after the evidence is posted. Tagging inactive moderators won’t help, tagging mods that they are friends with or they know already share the same opinion provides bias, and the quicker opinions are provided - the faster the ban appeal is attended to and dealt with. - Better enforce these two rules that have been in place for a while 1) mods are supposed to respond to ban appeals in the correct time period (whatever amount it was) and 2) ban logs have to be posted within a few days after the ban. A slap on the wrist helps nothing, and they should know by now the rules. - Allow other moderators to handle an appeal (with the evidence and all) if the initial moderator can not deal with it (due to varying circumstances). Shorten the amount of time that is needed but keep the months of experience required. Edit: (-) Potentially, if the evidence isn’t posted in a certain amount of time, then the appeal is automatically accepted for shorter bans. It isn’t hard to post evidence.
holy yes the amount of times ive been false banned for bull and the mods dont respond is crazy. the mods who do this should be punished it happened so much dk about now
https://gyazo.com/92efeb89f1f6c1931a1e16db3729efc9 The ban appeal template has now been updated. Players now have the option to tag moderators themselves of whom they want an opinion. If the moderator who banned the player still disagrees with their opinions, they can ask the opinion of head moderators to get to a final decision. Furthermore, staff members will have to reply to a ban appeal in 1 or 2 days with evidence or it will be accepted. Staff members will also now have permission to respond to ban appeals that are not theirs with evidence if the moderator that banned the player in question, has gone inactive (based on inactivity threads). We hope this improves the ban appeal system a lot but if there are anymore flaws, we always appreciate feedback like this. Thank you! Thread moved to archives. Regards, The Staff
