This is an odd suggestion. I am proposing that Mineverse releases my unreleased (and right now unfinished) prison server. The server is a lot like the old Prison from 2015, but improved in as many ways as I could possibly think of. Myself and a group of others rebuilt the map from scratch using videos and screenshots, but I redesigned it in some areas to make it more efficient and just all around better. It isn't just a map however, it is nearly a fully functioning game-mode. It retains many aspects of the old prison but I have added in a lot of new features which I will explain in-depth later on in this thread. Why don't I just release the server myself? Good question. There are a few reasons, one being I am not bothered to maintain a server by myself, another being the fact that I do not have a large player-base and do not have the means (money) to obtain such a player-base, whereas Noobcrew does and the third being that I cannot play my own server; I would love nothing more than to play Prison-Factions like I did back in 2015/2016. What I feel is one of the greatest advantages I have over Crew/Brandon in making this game-mode is the fact that I actually played Prison, and still would love to play Prison again. Heck, I want to play this game mode myself, so you can be sure it's damn good. I will go into detail now about what my game-mode/server consists of: The Map I redesigned and rebuilt the old Prison map a few months ago with the help of a few other Mineverse/ex-Mineverse players. Two entire blocks were removed because I deemed them unnecessary, this should definitely make the map less laggy than it used to be. What we have now are two blocks, one for prisoners, and one for the prestige ranks. Inside the prisoner block there are six mines, two for D-Prisoners, two for C-Prisoners, one for B-Prisoners and one for A-Prisoners. You will see how this looks off the Youtube video I have posted below. The idea of placing all the prisoner mines around a central PvP area was entirely intentional, PvP is and should be a major aspect of Prison, and putting all the prisoners around this area I feel puts an emphasis on PvP. Furthermore, the PvP area is much bigger than it used to be, along with this there are far more cells which can be used as shops which cell gear/items necessary for fighting, or anything really. There are plots which surround the entire perimeter of the Prison. Note that the pricing for plots/cells has been carefully configured to support a player-shop based economy. Custom free-world and nether spawns have been built, and will be visible in the Youtube video below. The Economy The prices of various items in the shop have already been chosen, however they will most probably be altered slightly once I test how long it actually takes to rank-up from D -> Free. Several actions have been taken to encourage a player-shop based economy rather than a server-shop based economy. I have, in a way, introduced a new currency in the form of flint. Citizen+ have access to trade with what I call "Flint-Dealers" (keep in mind this is custom coded by me). Upon clicking a Flint-Dealing villager, a GUI will display within which players can trade farming goods such as wheat or melons for flint. The player can then trade the flint for various items such as weapons, tools, armour or enchanted books. The Citizen+ players can then sell these items for profit in their own player-shops based inside the prison either on a plot or in a cell. This gives players another way to make money other than simply mining, and encourages a player-shop based economy. Furthermore, small amounts of flint are found within each mine, which prisoners can sell to Citizen+ players. The introduction of flint as a currency stops inflation, which would occur if the GUI shop gave money in exchange for farming goods. The Ranks Credit is due to samuelgamer123 for helping in coming up with the great idea of introducing more ranks, but lowering prices. All of the new ranks/prices are shown in my video of the map. However my own idea, which I think is great, is that every time you rank-up, you unlock more perks that were previously restricted to donation ranks only. This not only gives incentive for ranking up, but also makes the server EULA compliant. For example, once a player reaches the "High-Roller" rank, they may gain access to "/fix all", or once a player reaches the "Citizen" rank, they may gain access to the command "/heal". What prison ranks coincide with what donator ranks is something that would have to be discussed; however, I believe that it is absolutely necessary that this is done, regardless of the effect it may have on server income. (which it probably won't affect at all) Plugins There are lots of new plugins that I have added to the game-mode. Some are custom-coded e.g. the hologram plugin and the flint-dealers. Some examples are plugins such as Rename, Marriage and Custom Enchantments (the enchantments would be restricted so as to not break the game-mode). The ability to marry, for example, could be a perk limited to Citizen+ and the donor rank "Elite". Factions Yes, the game-mode is still half factions. I haven't fully implemented the factions plugin and as I myself am not an avid factions player, configuring this particular part of the game-mode is something that I would do with the help of someone who plays Factions. I feel the biggest mistake of the most recent Prison is that the plot world utterly destroys the point of factions; people just store everything on their plots instead of in bases in the free world. In my game-mode a fee must be paid to rent plots/cells and store items on them. ------------------------------------- There are a lot more features and plugins that I have forgotten to mention, this is only a summary of what the game mode is. Right now, the game mode is up and running on a private, white-listed server that I own. If anyone would actually like to see it, I'd be more than happy to let you. Finally, I'd like to say that yes, I am offering this map and game-mode for free but there are a few conditions that I'd like Crew to agree upon: - That nothing major be changed without the consent of myself. - That the administration act swiftly to change things where necessary (e.g. modifying prices, fixing bugs etc.) - That full credit is given to myself and those that helped me. Am I asking a lot? No. I'm offering something that could potentially make Crew money. Everything I am asking for is not worth a cent.
