For over 6 years, infection maps have had ugly iron bars that serve as their barriers. Recently this has been changed to glass to attempt to make it look better but it still does not look as good as it possibly can. Now I know there's a tradition to keep map borders like this and us old infection players have always played it like this but these barriers were created in a time when people couldn't make anything better. These borders were fast ways to close the maps off because the original maps did not have that much detail put into them. Just look at this striking comparison of Azteca before and after the new borders. Before: After: Before: After: It is 2019 and the maps need to look more modern than they do now. The iron bars were iconic but they made the maps look too square and they never let the maps actually feel like the place they are set in. Thank you. This is a quote, directly from TorchwoodRC (one of the creators of the new border) on what he would do with the borders on other maps,
^^ It's also a lot of work on halex and torch, but if they're up to it I see no reason why not as long as there's no way to glitch up the mountains or anything. Although honesty, the barriers would need to be something different for each map, having a bunch or all maps with just mountains surrounding wouldn't turn out well in my opinion.
