For Survival, if you're using paperspigot, you can set monsters spawned by spawners to "noAI" which will help the performance a bit I believe. This would allow you to give regular spawned monsters AI and make their projectiles hit etc. No one likes laggy farms XD

 

Projectiles are disabled at all. xD
