Recently on the pvp servers, there has been a lot of illegal activity because players know when no mods are on, they can get away with anything they want. Most hackers these days are relying on their clients giving them "vanish alerts" which I have been told is a pop up in chat alerting hackers when a mod logs on in vanish. This is a big problem because all the hackers have to do is temporarily turn off their clients until the moderator logs off. They know every time there is and isn't a staff member on. I suggest that there be a counter implemented for this problem. One suggestion I am making is that a bot or two in vanish rotationally log onto op pvp and kit pvp to scare the hackers with vanish alerts. Another thing I am suggesting to counter vanish alerts is implementing a system where a shared secret account is put in the game only accessible by sr mods and above to catch the big hackers without them being suspicious of a vanish alert and a moderator. If you have any other suggestions on how to counter this problem, please leave them in the comments.
There's literally no way around this, and if one is found, it'll be hard to execute, especially since the vanish alerts are client sided, not server sided.
This is a good suggestion, however I don't feel like it's needed right now. In theory this should be a problem but in my experience hackers never bother to turn off cheats, or mods instantly /tp to them when they join. I think most mods would agree with me Still support
